Show that addition and subtraction are opposite
    of each other. Thanks.

An inverse operation "reverses" another operation. Addition and subtraction are inverses of each other because adding and subtracting the same number does not change the original number.

    For example, 7 - 6 + 6 = 7 and 13 + 11 - 11 = 13.

a general rule says if you have a number then you add to it and subtract from it another number, your original number will not change (it will stay same)
