Coin toss

Discussion in 'Scientific Statistics Math' started by azazel scratch, May 18, 2004.

  1. I need a little help with this problem. I toss a coin 3 times. What is
the probability that I get two exactly two heads? I believe the outcome
would be TTT, THT, TTH, THH, HHH, HTH, HHT, AND HTT. I can get exactly
two heads 3 out of 8 outcomes. Is my answer 3/8 or .375? What are the
odds that I get exactly two heads?

Thanks in advance for any input.

You got it right, assuming heads and tails are equally likely to occur.
