    Hi;

    Do Anyone know if there is a good website or calculator that will help
    with Intermediate Algebra?

    I am starting Intermediate Algebra, and I see that I am going to need a
    lot of help, judging from what I done in introduction to Algebra. So I was
    hoping that there might be a good website or calculator that would help me.
    I asked My instructor and he just suggested a calculator that does Square
    Roots. In fact he is not offering any help at all, is normal? I am taking
    the course through e-mail and phone calls (if he calls me back). Let me know
    Thank you in advance.

    Do Anyone know if there is a good website or calculator that will help
    The kind of calculator you need is a scientific calculator. A graphing
    calculator is good only when you understand the mathematics which you are
    examining with it. A good, old fashioned textbook is much, much better than a
    web site and phone calls. Quite possibly you did not effectively learn
    elementary algebra and should restudy it in order to effectively study
    intermediate algebra.

    We heard you the first two times.

    This isn't instant messaging; you need to allow adequate time for an
    answer. If you get no answer in a couple of days (not minutes), then
    it's time enough to repost.

    Now to answer your question:

    I'm not sure what you mean by "intermediate algebra" -- many courses
    at different levels of difficulty have that title. What sort of
    topics are in the table of contents of your textbook?

    You will probably find some helpful links on my page

    Address munging may or may not reduce the spam you get; it surely
    reduces the number of useful answers you get.

    And you did it AGAIN!

    Please cut it out -- and please don't post upside down.

    Hi Again;

    Is this what you mean by not posting upside down? to answer your
    questions about what topics are covered in intermediate Algebra. they are
    like Polynomials the operation of them and terms, factors, and coefficients,
    etc... operations with polynomials, factoring Polynomials, Simplifying
    Radical and Rational Expressions, Solving Quadratic Equations and Rational
    Equations, Graphs of Quadratic Functions, Graphs of a Region Enclosed by
    Quadratic Functions and a Straight Line and sub-topics under these topics.

    You may be right I may not have learned Elementary algebra effetely
    and that is what I told the instructor. He says it should al come together
    for me. However I think I will need some help like with this problem on
    substitution. I don't think I understand it here is an example of a problem
    maybe you can help with how they(the textbook) came up the answer.
    this is under the heading solving a system by graphing and
    substitution.
    y = x + 2
    x + y = 4
    it says first write in slope intercept
    I believe it is (1,3) then
    3 = 1 + 2
    x = 1 and y = 3 in x + y = 4
    1 + 3 = 4
    then they have a graph I have not figure out how to post a graph
