Dear all,

Does anyone know how to solve a linear system that includes unknowns to right of the "=" sign in Matlab? In my case, the matrix equation looks like:

Ax = B + C

In this, A is a 10*10 matrix, filled with (constant) numbers. x is a 10*1 vector containing 6 unknowns and 4 constants. B is a 10*1 vector with 3 unknowns and 7 constants and C is a 10*1 vector with 1 unknown and 9 constants.

Now, I want to solve the 10 unknowns in this system with Matlab. It's a lot of work to write out all equations by hand and then put all the unknowns in one vector, after which one can simply use the command x=Q\W to calculate the 10 unknowns.

Can someone please tell me how this works in Matlab?

Kind regards,

Maarten de Jong
