    Hey guys,

    got a problem with a script I found at the IBM Techbase:

    Can anyone check if it is working? I'm not sure because I don't
    understand the code and it wasn't working with my .sav file or a test
    file. Only a 0 Kb .txt file is the outcome.

    I think the failure is in this line:
    SpssTextData = objDataDoc.GetTextData (objSPSSInfo.VariableAt(0),
    objSPSSInfo.VariableAt(numVars), 1, lngNOC)

    Please help, I really don't want to do the work twice! =)

    Kind regards,

  2. Can't help you with the VB code, however in case you don't have to
    automate this, I would suggest.

    Create a new syntax.
    Single statement: "DISPLAY VARIABLES."
    Copy the resulting output table.
    Paste it into your Excel sheet.

    Thanks for your help. Your suggestion was right, I don't need an automation.
    Despite that, I deleted the post because I found a lot of other scripts which are doing the same thing and are working.

    Thanks a lot, tomorrow morning I can finish the task.
