I was trying to determine a solution equation for the following problem and had much difficulty.

    Given a starting mixture of say 5 ingredients of known percentages, say A_0 , B_0 , C_0 , D_0 , E_0, where A_0 + B_0 + C_0 + D_0 + E_0 = 1

    Also given the desired final volume, V_f and desired final mixture percentages, say A_f , B_f , C_f , D_f , E_f, where A_f + B_f + C_f + D_f + E_f =1

Determine the needed starting volume, V_0, and the minimum added amount of each of the 5 ingredients A , B , C , D , E to achieve to desired mixture.
