    Does Maple have a function to find a pattern of repeatable numbers?
    If it's just a matter of simple repetitions, that's easy:
    ns := "12341234123412341234"
    "1234"

    Thanks for the fast reply but the number I'm working with doesn't come back with a pattern.

    See below the number I'm working with is:

    "112358437189887641562819112358437189887641562819112358437187641562819"

    I can graph it and see a pattern but I would like to learn how to have maple find the pattern.
    Is thier another command for this in maple ?

    TIA

    Are you sure the number is correct? It is not the same as

    x = 112358437189887641562819 repeated three times. That is

    orig:112358437189887641562819 112358437189887641562819 11235843718 7641562819
    3x :112358437189887641562819 112358437189887641562819 112358437189887641562819

    note the gap in the last section. If you fill that in, the Maple's
    PrimitiveRoot does indeed find what you want.
