How to refresh / update a model in Matlab R13 SP1, R13 SP2 ??

  1. Hi,
    I'm using Matlab R13 SP1 and R13 SP2. I have a model
which has Configurable subsystems in multiple levels(more
than 4 levels) and Configurable subsystems inside another
configurable subsystem. While setting block choice for a
Configurable system which is under another Configurable
system in the 3rd / 4th level using Command line API, the
choice is set for the configurable system but its not
updated in the view. It is still showing the old choice. Its
changing the choice only if I do an update diagram. But
update diagram will check all the parameter variables in the
workspace and throws error if it didn't find any. So I want
to refresh the model without checking the parameters. In
higher versions we can refresh the model blocks alone. Is
there a property that I could set for the model to refresh
or any command that can be executed to refresh / update a
model without disturbing the parameter checks.

    I tried the command
    set_param(bdroot, 'SimulationCommand','Update')

    Thanks in Advance,
    Ruban.
