implementing a sample by sample 256 sample-long dot product/correlator in simulink

    Hi all,

    I'm new to simulink but now matlab.

    I'm trying to search a sequence of samples for a 256-long preamble. In Matlab, I'd use a dot(received, transmitted) and look for a threshold exceedance, advancing the block of received samples by one after each dot product. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how I'd do a similar thing in simulink. I've tried buffer blocks before an xcorr block, using a to-sample block on the output of the buffer, etc. What I'd expect to see if I were correctly implementing this, is, on a scope block, the same plot I'd get in matlab with plot(abs(xcorr(received, transmitted)));

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
