I don't under the concept of knots per hour.
For example, a boat is traveling at 30 knots per hour. Does this mean that for every hour of travel time the boat completed 30 miles? Please explain.

The knot is a unit of speed equal to one nautical mile per hour, exactly

    1.15078 miles per hour or 1.852 km/h

30 knots per hour=34.5234miles per hour
    30 knots per hour will be 30 *1.852 km/h=55.56km/h

I need to familiarize myself with nautical miles. I forgot everything I learned in the Navy about nautical miles at NTC. I plan to learn BEARING PROBLEMS well with your help. No bearing problems in the college algebra textbook but I will post tons of bearing threads in the coming months. Are you ready to go out to sea with me? LOL
