[NT] Goldbach Conjecture

  1. I'm trying my hand at an alternative formulation of the
    Goldbach conjecture, namely:

    For every natural n >= 2, there are primes p and q
    that straddle n at equidistance d >= 0.

    If n=p=q then d=0, otherwise 0 < d < n-2.
    Clearly if d=1 then p,q are twin primes.

    I like this alternative formulation because it explicitly
    defines what would be required of a proof. Other variations
    of the conjecture that I have seen do not get to the point
    (although they do, of course, imply the same).
