    How is this absolute value equation done?

    | π + ex | = 50

    Real solutions:
    e x + π = 50

    e x = 50-π
    x = (50-π)/e

    or
    -(e x + π) = 50
    (e x + π) = -50
    e x = -50-π
    x = -(50+π)/e
