All probabilities lie between 1 and 0, including 1 and 0. This is my understanding. Why can't the probability of an event be less than 0 or greater than 1?

The definition of probability is composed in such a way that the value of probability lies between 0 and +1. So, logical conclusion is that it can not be more than 1 and less than 0.

This means that all probabilities are fractions and, if fractions, then decimals.
