Similar Triangles

    Chapter 1/Section 3

    For 9, by the Angle-Angle Case, both triangles are similar.

    For 10, by the Side-Angle-Side Case, both triangles are similar.

    correct

    for 9 AA could also be called AAA (because when two angles are equal, all three angles must be equal)

    Very true. Very good.

    Note: We are still in Chapter 1, which is a review of the essentials of Algebra 1 and 2 and some Middle school geometry. College Algebra material remains a few chapters and/or sections away.

    For the second problem, while the given angle is the same in both triangles, 4/3 is not 3/2 or, flipping one of the triangles, 3/3 is not 4/2. The triangles are NOT similar.
