    How is this done? Can you do 59 step by step? Thank you.

    Use the following identity:

    replace x with (x-1)/4

    =[​IMG]

    =[​IMG]...........since [​IMG]

    =[​IMG].................-x^2 + 2x + 15 complete square, and you get 16 - (x - 1)^2
