Question 37

I see a right triangle.

One leg = 45

The other leg = 30

Let x = our bearing.

tan x = 45/30

arctan(tan x) = arctan (45/30)

x = 56.31°

You say?

Thanks. I started watching YouTube clips on bearing. I am slowly understanding the concept and set up. I will post more bearing questions later on today and tomorrow.

In fact, I will dedicate the entire weekend to bearing problems. It is my duty to make sure that every section is clear before moving on. Otherwise, why continue to more advanced topics? Why continue with precalculus at all?

I think this is how we end Chapter 4. Chapter 5 is entitled Analytic Trigonometric. It's mostly (if not all) about trig identities. I enjoy trig identities. It should a good review. I will watch more bearing problems on YouTube and then return here with extra questions.

P. S. I wanted to sit on the Coney Island Boardwalk but it looks like the weather is not going to allow me this privilege. I checked out the local theatres for movies. Nothing I really want to see. I did see House of Gucci last Sunday. I highly recommend watching this film.
