    Section 1.8
    Question 58

    See attachment.

    Let me see.

    For part (a), I know that profit = revenue minus cost or P = R - C.

    P(t) = 341 + 3.2t - (254 - 9t + 1.1t^2)

    P(t) = 341 + 3.2t - 254 + 9t - 1.1t^2

    P(t) = 87 + 12.2t - 1.1t^2

For part (b), I simply graph all three functions on the same xy-plane.

    You say?
