    Why is my drawing wrong?
What app are you using to make color drawings?

your drawing is acceptable, but when you have velocity then is normal to use Vx and Vy components

In terms of math and physics, is velocity the same as speed?

Speed is the time rate at which an object is moving along a path, while velocity is the rate and direction of an object's movement. So, the magnitude of a velocity vector gives the speed of an object while the vector direction gives its direction.
