Convert From Degrees to D° M' S"

    Convert 52.3175° to D° M' S".

    On the left side of the decimal point we have the number 52. This is our degrees.

    To find the minutes, multiply the decimal part by 60 degrees. Doing so, I get 19.05. The whole number to the left of the decimal point is the minutes. So, we have 19 minutes.

    To find our seconds, multiply .05 by 60 degrees.
    Doing so, I get 3 seconds.

    Answer: 52° 19' 3"
