Distance in the Complex Plane

    d = sqrt((s − a)^2 + (t − b)^2) is the distance formula between the two points in the complex plane.

    -5+i=a+bi
    -2+5i=s+ti

    d =sqrt( (-2 − (-5))^2 + (5 − 1)^2)=sqrt(25)=5
