Do you think people depend too much on Calculators?

    Not really a math question, but do you think that we depend too much on Calculators too much in math? Do you think that it has to do with how math is taught in schools? What do you think?

    Yes, I think so too.

    In a lot of cases, it seems that calculators replace understanding.

    Which is precisely what the current administration desires. The less we know, the easier it is to control the masses.

    The use of calculators is not a partisan issue.

    Calculator use, along with computers, the net, and other electronics, has grown steadily since long before, "the current administration."

    I find it concerning that you would think the widespread use of calculators is somehow connected with some sort of desire by, "the current administration" to make it "easier to control the masses."
