Find 4 Numbers

    The sum of four consecutive numbers is 58. Find the numbers.

    Set up:

    x + x + 1 + x + 2 + x + 3 = 58

    4x + 6 ÷ 58

    4x = 58 - 6

    4x = 52

    x = 52/4

    x = 13

    x + 1 = 14

    x + 2 = 15

    x + 3 = 16

    The four consecutive numbers are 13, 14, 15, 16.
