A man is 34 years old and his son is 12 years old. If the man becomes 42 years old, how old will is son be?

The father is 22 years older than his son.

When the father is 42, the son will be 22 years younger than the son.

Yes. I would have said that the father will be 42 in 42- 34= 8 years and in 8 years the son will be 12+ 8= 20 years old.
