Find Lucy's Age

Jake is 60 years old. Lucy is ten years older than Max. If Lucy's and Max's age combined is half Jakes age, what is Lucy's age?

Jake = 60

Lucy = x + 10

Max = x years old

x + x + 10 = (1/2)(60)

2x + 10 = 30

2x = 30 - 10

2x = 20

x = 20/2

x = 10

Lucy's age = x + 10

Lucy's age = 10 + 10

Lucy's age = 20 years old.
