    If an object travels at five feet per second, how many feet does it travel in one hour?

    Let me see.

    1 hour = 3600 seconds

    I think setting up a proportion works.

    5 feet/x = 1 second/3600

    x(1 second) = 5 feet(3600)

    x = 5(3600)

    x = 18,000 feet

    You say?
