    Part (a)

    The bottom portion of the graph crosses the origin, where the x-intercept is the line x = 0.

    Part (b)

    0 = 2x/(x - 3)

    0(x - 3) = 2x/(x - 3) • (x - 3)/1

    0 = 2x

    0/2 = x

    0 = x

    Question 68

    Part (a)

    The top portion of the graph crosses the point
    (1, 0), where the x-intercept is the line x = 1.

    Part (b)

    0 = x - 3 + (2/x)

    0 = (x^2 - 3x + 2)/x

    0 = x^2 - 3x + 2

    0 = (x - 2) (x - 1)

    x = 2, x = 1
