Questions 83 & 84

See attachment.

Question 83

h = y-coordinate - function value of y

h = 3 - 4x + x^2

This is my guess.

Question 84

h = y-coordinate - function value of y

h = 4 - 2x + 4x - x^2

h = 4 + 4x - x^2

You say?

Question 83 is correct

Question 84
observe h, it does not go up to point (2,4), so you cannot use y=4

h = (4x - x^2) - 2x
h = 4x - x^2- 2x
h =2x - x^2

I see what you mean. Do you see the integral symbol in the upper left hand corner? I think this set of questions is preparedness for Calculus 1.

Your set up here is basically h = curve - line.

Yes?
