    My set up:

    Let M = midpoint

    M = [(sideline + sideline)/2, (endline + endline)/2]

    M = [(12 + 50)/2, (18 + 42)/2]

    Yes?

    I suggest you to not to use ((sideline + sideline)/2, (endline + endline)/2)
    use M = [(x1 + x2)/2, (y1 + y2)/2]
    M = [(12 + 50)/2, (18 + 42)/2]
    M = [31, 30]
