Mrs. Mahoney went shopping for some canned goods which were on sale. She bought three times as many cans of tomatoes as cans of peaches and two times as many cans of tuna as cans of peaches. If Mrs. Mahoney purchased a total of 24 cans, how many of each can did she buy?
Let me see.
This one involves lots of words to throw me into a loop.
Cans of tomatoes = 3x
Can of peaches = x
Cans of tuna = 2x
Total number of cans = 24
Set Up:
3x + x + 2x = 24
Yes?
