    2(6)^2 + 5(0)^2 = 8

    2(36) + 5(0) = 8

    72 + 0 = 8

    72 DOES NOT EQUAL 8.

    I say no to (a).

    14...(b)

    2(0)^2 + 5(4)^2 = 8

    2(0) + 5(16) = 8

    0 + 80 = 8

    80 DOES NOT EQUAL

    I say no to (b).
