    ((-1+i*sqrt(3))/2)+((-1-i*sqrt(3))/2)=-1

    -1/2+(i*sqrt(3))/2+-1/2-(i*sqrt(3))/2=-1

    -1/2-1/2+(i*sqrt(3))/2-(i*sqrt(3))/2=-1
    -1+0=-1
    -1=-1

    The "i sqrt(3)/2" and "-i sqrt(3)/2" cancel.

    -1/2+ (-1/2)= -1.
