Let's start with a simple definition. As I understand it, simple harmonic motion is motion that repeats. Is this true?

The motion of the pendulum is a particular kind of repetitive or periodic motion called simple harmonic motion, or SHM. The position of the oscillating object varies sinusoidally with time. Many objects oscillate back and forth.

I have notes by Leonard to share concerning SHM. I also have questions. I will post each question with work shown on my next set of days off.
