Revisiting precalculus just for fun.

(ax+b)/(cx+d)=e.........both side multiply by (cx+d) to get a rid of fraction
ax+b= e(cx+d)
ax+b= ecx+ed
ax-ecx=ed-b
(a-ec)x=ed-b
x=(ed-b)/(a-ec) ...........will be true if denominator is not zero which will be only if a=ec
so, denominator is not equal to zero if a ≠ ec
