    (1/2)^x = 32

    ln [(1/2)^x] = ln 32

    x ln(1/2) = ln 32

    x = ln 32 ÷ ln (1/2)

    x = - 5

    Question 10

    log x - log 10 = 0

    log x = log 10

    x = 10
