    Let L = limit

    For (a), L = -2.

    For (b), L = 2.

    For (c), L = infinity.

    For (d), L = -infinity.

    For (e), the vertical asymptotes are x = 1, x = 3.
    The horizontal asymptotes are y = 2, y = -2.
