    Question 20

    Let 1/125 be 1/(5^3).

    Let 1/(5^3) = 5^(-3).

    log_5 (5)^(-3)

    -3•log_5 (5)

    -3(1) = -3

    Question 22

    log_2 (4throot{8})

    Let 4throot{8} be 8^(1/4)

    log_2 (8)^(1/4)

    (1/4) log_2 (8)

    Let 8 = 2^3

    (1/4) log_2 (2)^3

    3•(1/4) log_2 (2)

    (3/4) log_2 (2)

    (3/4)(1) = 3/4

    Question 26

    ln (1/sqrt{e})

    Let sqrt{e} be e^(1/2)

    ln (1/e^(1/2))

    ln e^(-1/2)

    (-1/2) ln e

    Let ln e = 1

    (-1/2)(1) = -1/2

    Question 28

    2•ln e^6 - ln e^5

    2(6) ln e - 5 ln e

    12 ln e - 5(1)

    12(1) - 5

    12 - 5 = 7
