    Questions 11

    See attachment.

For 11a, the graph of f(x) = x^2 has been shifted downward on the y-axis by one unit.

    Answer: f(x) = x^2 - 1

For 11b, the parabola is upside-down. We also see that it has been shifted over to the left by one unit and also shifted upward by one unit parallel to the line x = 0.

    I say the answer is f(x) = -(x + 1)^2 + 1.

    You say?
