    g(x)=x^2+10x+17 this cannot be factored, so we use quadratic formula to find zeros

    in your case a=1, b=10, and c=17

    [​IMG]

    => zeros: [​IMG] or [​IMG]


    then

    g(x)= [​IMG] [​IMG]
